Ruby on Rails, for getting to a real product fast.
Rails is built around convention over configuration, which means less time deciding how to structure things and more time shipping. We use it for MVPs and product builds where speed to a working version matters as much as the tech itself.
Rails, applied.
MVPs & early-stage products
Rails is built for exactly this — a real, working product without months of setup.
SaaS applications
Subscription billing, user accounts, admin dashboards — the scaffolding Rails handles well out of the box.
Internal tools
Fast-to-build admin panels and internal systems that don't need a custom framework from scratch.
Existing Rails app support
Picking up and maintaining Rails codebases built by previous teams.
Tools we pair it with
When Rails is the right call — and when it isn’t.
Rails is hard to beat when you need a working product quickly and the application is mostly about creating, reading and updating records — booking systems, marketplaces, subscription products, internal business tools. Its strong conventions mean far less time spent deciding how to structure things, and a developer who knows Rails can find their way around any Rails codebase fast, which protects you if your team changes. It is less suited to CPU-heavy processing, to real-time features where Node has the advantage, and to organisations standardised on a different stack, where adding one Rails application creates a long-term maintenance island. If you already have an existing Rails app, we are happy to take it over and modernise it in stages.
