When Local Services Ads are worth it — and when they aren’t.
Local Services Ads suit businesses that get hired for urgent, local jobs — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, locksmiths, pest control, cleaning, legal and similar trades and professions. You sit above the regular search results with a Google Verified badge (which replaced the older Google Guaranteed and Google Screened badges in late 2025), and you pay per lead rather than per click, which changes the maths considerably when a click costs a lot and most clicks are not customers. The requirements are the catch: licence and insurance verification and background checks take real time up front, the categories and service areas Google supports are limited, and you must dispute bad leads promptly or you pay for them. If your work is not local and service-based, standard Google Ads will give you far more control.
FAQ
What businesses qualify for LSAs?
Mostly local service categories — home services, legal, and similar — we'll confirm your eligibility up front.
How is this different from Google Ads?
You pay per lead, not per click, and LSAs appear above regular search ads.
Do you handle bad lead disputes?
Yes, that's part of ongoing management — we don't let you pay for leads that don't qualify.
