Software consulting — get the plan right before you spend on the build.
Sometimes the highest-value thing we can do is tell you what NOT to build, or which of three approaches actually fits your team and budget. Consulting engagements are scoped separately from build work, precisely so the advice isn't biased toward selling you more hours.
Consulting, applied.
Technical feasibility review
An honest read on whether an idea is buildable as scoped, and what it would actually take.
Architecture & platform decisions
Choosing the right stack before code gets written, not after a wrong choice is expensive to unwind.
Vendor & team evaluation
A second opinion on a proposal or codebase from another agency or in-house team.
Technical due diligence
Assessing a codebase or system ahead of an acquisition, investment, or major decision.
What a consulting engagement is good for.
Consulting earns its fee at the decision points, before anyone writes code. Common ones: whether to buy a product or build your own, whether an ageing system should be maintained or replaced, why a project already underway is slipping, what a piece of work ought to cost before you take quotes, and whether a developer’s proposal is sound. We also review existing code and infrastructure when you are inheriting a system or evaluating an acquisition. The output is a plain-language recommendation with the reasoning shown, not a deck. Sometimes that recommendation is to do nothing, or to keep the system you have — we would rather give you that answer than sell you a project you do not need.
