Who it's for

Practices we design healthcare websites for.

Every practice is different, but each one has a patient (or a worried family member) comparing options and deciding who to trust. We build for:

◉

Primary care & concierge medicine

Physician-led sites where patients are choosing a person, not just a location.

◉

Specialty practices

Neurology, orthopedics, dermatology, cardiology and other specialties that need clear condition and treatment pages.

◉

Dental & orthodontic offices

New-patient information, services, insurance details and an easy way to request a visit.

◉

Plastic surgery, aesthetics & med spas

Procedure pages and before-and-after galleries handled carefully, with consent and accuracy in mind.

◉

Therapy, rehab & behavioral health

Physical therapy, chiropractic and counseling practices where privacy and tone matter as much as design.

◉

Home care, senior care & labs

In-home care, senior living, diagnostic labs and healthcare service companies, including multi-location groups.

What we build for healthcare practices

What's included.

✓

Patient-acquisition-focused design

Clear paths to request an appointment, provider bios that build trust, and service pages that answer the questions patients actually search for.

✓

HIPAA-conscious public site & forms

We design the marketing site so it doesn't capture or transmit protected health information — contact and appointment-request forms are built to route inquiries without becoming a PHI liability, backed by the same firewall and hardening practices we put on every site.

✓

Local SEO for healthcare searches

"Near me" and insurance/condition-specific search behavior is different from typical local SEO — we build around how patients actually search.

✓

Accessibility-minded builds

Larger text options, screen-reader-friendly structure, and keyboard navigation — built with patients using assistive technology in mind, not bolted on after launch.

✓

Provider & team pages

Credentials, training, focus areas and a photo for each provider, so patients can choose the right clinician before they call.

✓

Service & condition pages

One page per major service or condition, written in plain language, reviewed by your clinical team and structured for search.

✓

New-patient information

Insurance accepted, what to bring, office hours, parking and directions — the questions your front desk answers by phone every day.

✓

Location pages

A dedicated page for each office with its own hours, map, phone number and providers, matched to its Google Business Profile.

✓

Portal, scheduling & telehealth links

Clean handoffs to the patient portal, online scheduling or telehealth platform you already use, rather than a duplicate system.

The patient journey

Designed around how patients choose a provider.

Most people visit a practice website several times before they book.

1

Search

A patient searches a symptom, a specialty or "near me." Service pages and your Google Business Profile get you into that first list.

2

Compare

They open three or four sites. Fast load times, a clear headline and visible insurance information keep them on yours.

3

Trust

Provider bios, real photos and plain-language explanations answer "is this the right doctor for me?"

4

Act

Click-to-call, a short appointment request or a link to online scheduling — whichever your front desk actually prefers.

5

Return

Existing patients come back for the portal, forms, directions and hours, so those links stay one tap away.

Local SEO for practices

Healthcare website design that helps Jacksonville patients find you.

Whether patients are in Mandarin, Nocatee or the Beaches, local visibility for a medical practice comes from a few things working together:

✓

Google Business Profile

Accurate categories, hours, services, photos and a profile for each real location. Your name, address and phone should match the website exactly. More on Google Business Profile.

✓

Reviews, within the rules

Ask every patient the same way, without incentives and without screening out unhappy ones, which Google's review policies prohibit. When you reply, never confirm someone is a patient or mention their care.

✓

Service & condition pages

Patients search for a treatment or a symptom, not your practice name. A focused page for each gives Google something specific to rank.

✓

Structured data & technical SEO

Schema markup, clean URLs, an XML sitemap and internal links between providers, services and locations.

We also do medical website design for practices elsewhere in Florida — Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, Tallahassee and beyond — working remotely. See our healthcare and senior care SEO page for market-by-market detail, or our SEO services for ongoing work after launch.

Privacy & HIPAA

HIPAA-conscious by design.

We're a web design studio, not a HIPAA compliance advisor, and nothing here is legal advice. What we do is build the public website so it stays out of trouble by default:

✓

Keep PHI out of ordinary forms

General contact and appointment-request forms ask for a name, a phone number and a preferred time — not symptoms, diagnoses or insurance member numbers.

✓

Careful with tracking pixels

We keep advertising and analytics pixels away from pages and forms where health information could be involved, such as portals, booking flows and intake.

✓

HIPAA-appropriate vendors

Anything that does touch PHI — secure intake forms, scheduling, telehealth — should run on a HIPAA-appropriate vendor that signs a business associate agreement (BAA).

✓

Your compliance lead signs off

We document which tools are on the site and what each one collects, so your compliance officer or counsel can review it before launch.

For reference, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services publishes guidance on online tracking technologies used by HIPAA covered entities. In June 2024 a federal court in Texas (American Hospital Association v. Becerra) vacated the part of that guidance dealing with tracking on public, unauthenticated web pages, and HHS later dropped its appeal; the page now carries a notice about the ruling. The remaining guidance, including its discussion of tracking on login-protected pages like patient portals and when a tracking vendor needs a BAA, is still published there. Other federal and state privacy rules may also apply, which is why the final call belongs to your compliance team.

Accessibility

Accessible to every patient.

Healthcare sites serve older patients, people with low vision and people using screen readers more than almost any other kind of site. The U.S. Department of Justice's web accessibility guidance says businesses open to the public need to make their online services accessible and points to WCAG as a helpful standard. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA: readable contrast, resizable text, keyboard navigation, labeled form fields, captions and descriptive alt text. If your current site needs an audit first, see our ADA website compliance service.

Speed & security

Fast on a phone, hardened behind the scenes.

✓

Mobile-first speed

Most patients find you on a phone. Compressed images, lean code and caching keep pages quick and Core Web Vitals healthy.

✓

SSL & hardening

HTTPS everywhere, a web application firewall, limited admin access and two-factor logins for your team.

✓

Updates & backups

Plugins and core kept current, with regular off-site backups, if you choose ongoing care. Website security details.

Process

How a healthcare website project runs.

1

Discovery

Your services, providers, locations, patient mix and the tools you already use (EHR, portal, scheduling).

2

Sitemap & content plan

Every page mapped to a patient question and a search term, with clinical review points marked.

3

Design

Wireframes, then high-fidelity desktop and mobile designs you review with your team.

4

Build & review

Development, integrations, accessibility and speed testing, plus a tracking summary for your compliance lead.

5

Launch & support

Redirects from old pages, Search Console and Google Business Profile checks, then optional ongoing SEO and maintenance.

Where this comes from

Built by people who've done this for real practices.

Our client list includes healthcare and medical-adjacent businesses like Any Lab Test Now, so this isn't our first time thinking through appointment flows, insurance/provider information, and content that has to be accurate without overstating outcomes. One thing we're upfront about: we're a web design and development studio, not a HIPAA-covered-entity software vendor or a certified compliance auditor. We build the public-facing site to avoid collecting sensitive health information and to work cleanly alongside whatever patient portal or EHR system you already use — your compliance officer or legal counsel should still review anything that touches actual patient data.

Socially Bold has been designing websites for more than 10 years and has built 100+ websites and apps. We're rated 5.0 on Google from 33 reviews, and our office is at 12620 Beach Blvd, Suite #3, Jacksonville, FL 32246.

Common questions

FAQ

Do you handle HIPAA compliance?

We design the public marketing site to avoid capturing or transmitting protected health information, and we're careful about analytics and form handling for that reason. We're not a certified compliance auditor, though — for anything touching actual patient records or a portal, that review should go through your compliance officer or counsel.

Can you integrate our scheduling or practice management software?

In most cases, yes — we'll look at what you're already using (or help you choose) and build the site to connect to it cleanly rather than duplicating a separate booking system.

Do you write the medical content, or do we need to review it?

We write from information and copy your team provides or approves. Anything describing treatments, outcomes, or medical claims should get a final review from your clinical staff before it goes live — we'll flag where that review matters most.

We're not in Jacksonville — can you still work with us?

Yes. Most of our client relationships, healthcare included, run remotely through video calls and a shared project board.

Can we use Google Analytics or Meta pixels on a medical website?

Possibly, but carefully. We keep ad and analytics tags off pages and forms where health information could be involved, configure what remains to collect as little as possible, and document it for your compliance lead. HHS guidance on tracking technologies and a 2024 court ruling both bear on this, so your compliance team should make the final call.

What should an appointment request form ask for?

As little as possible: a name, a phone number or email, and a preferred day or time. Symptoms, medical history and insurance numbers belong in a secure intake system from a HIPAA-appropriate vendor that signs a BAA, not in a general website form.

How do you help a medical practice rank in local search?

We build a page for each major service and location, set up structured data, and align the site with an accurate Google Business Profile for every office. Steady, policy-compliant reviews help too. No one can guarantee rankings, but these are the foundations local search depends on.

Is my practice website required to be ADA accessible?

The Department of Justice has said businesses open to the public need to make their online services accessible, and it points to WCAG as helpful guidance. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA and can audit an existing site. For a legal opinion on your obligations, ask your attorney.

Can you redesign our existing practice website without losing rankings?

Yes. We inventory your current pages and the searches they rank for, keep or improve that content, and set up 301 redirects from every old URL, then watch Google Search Console after launch.

Do you build websites for multi-location practices?

Yes. Each office gets its own location page with hours, map, phone and providers, connected to its own Google Business Profile, while shared services live on one set of pages.
